On November 7, the 2025 Academic Year Science & Technology Festival of WFL Lingang, themed Explore Drone Technology, Unleash Future Dreams, was grandly inaugurated in the school auditorium. The entire school community—faculty and students alike—gathered to embrace this remarkable celebration of innovation.

During the launch ceremony, Principal Deng Wen addressed the attendees, encouraging students to nurture curiosity, embrace exploration, and engage in hands-on practice. This year’s festival features seven carefully curated activity segments, including logo design solicitation, battlefield science outreach, drone experience sessions, and grade-level tech competitions, establishing a comprehensive platform to foster hands-on application of STEM knowledge.

Kicking off the festival, the school hosted a keynote lecture Drones: The Sky Eye of Tomorrow by Captain Huang, a certified pilot from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Captain Huang showcased the technological potential of drones—covering everything from flight principles to real-world applications—through vivid case studies in agriculture, emergency rescue, and beyond. The session was met with enthusiastic engagement: students listened intently and participated actively in the Q&A, fostering a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.

Following the lecture, Grade 5 students participated in hands-on drone operation workshops in batches. Under the guidance of professional instructors, they mastered core maneuvers (takeoff, hovering, and directional control) through direct operation, experiencing the excitement of technology firsthand and igniting their passion for innovation.

The 2025 Science & Technology Festival is now officially underway. We look forward to seeing our students dive into the upcoming activities, as we cultivate the seeds of technological curiosity and creativity across our campus.
