Autumn Field Trip Highlights of Primary School in WFL·LG

On 14 November 2025, students from selected grades of primary school in WFL·LG undertook enriching field trips, enabling pupils to gain valuable experience through hands-on learning.

 

Grade 1 & 2: Nature Exploration at Zhiqu Garden

Pupils from Grades 1 and 2 visited Zhiqu Garden for engaging interesting hands-on activities. They created artworks using eggshells, nurtured compassion by feeding small animals, and experienced traditional farming to appreciate the value of labour. During lunchtime, they  learned etiquette of sharing; they developed courage and coordination in recreational activities; they also achieved holistic development in nature-based lessons.

Grade 3: Study Tour at the Museum and Park

Students from Grade 3 embarked on an interdisciplinary learning journey to Fengxian Museum and Bubble Park. At the museum, they explored ancient pond-building techniques and engaged in career exploration within the history gallery. In the afternoon they composed poetry, identified geometric shapes, and described nature in English at the park, integrating multidisciplinary knowledge through practical activities.

Grade 4 & 5: Sports Experience at Gaodong Ecological Park

Students from Grades 4 and 5 engaged in sports and teamwork activities at Gaodong Ecological Park. They visited the Gateball Museum, participated in gateball matches firsthand, and enhanced their collaborative skills through orienteering challenges. The event concluded with a teacher-student picnic where they shared their gains, allowing sports and culture to nourish their growth.

Through meticulously designed study programmes, students of two grades extended the classroom outdoors, putting the educational philosophy of ‘the world as a classroom’ into practice. This enabled pupils to achieve dual growth in knowledge and character within authentic settings.
